Ridge Cut Cell Tower

Below is a real conversation that I had today.

”Hey, I’m coming up on the Ridge Cut. I may lose you. If I do I’ll call you back.”

”Okay? As I was saying, the second item is . . . ” [signal faded]

When the above is repeated hundreds of times over each day in Chattanooga, then it is hard to care much about preserving the “historic view.” Look at it this way, the partially approved tower is a temporary solution. When wireless technology improves then it can be torn down and the kudzu can be allowed to grow back. Until then the benefits beat the negatives. What do you think?

I heard that the elite residents of the ridgecut ( have you seen those houses!!??) voted against it.. techniclly it is a small group of houses who claim Eastridge residency.. if you ever look at a map of Chattanooga.. the ridgecut is all East ridge….. see below pic

Yeah, it’s a nice area. We used to house sit for someone on the ridge, but it was on the other side of I-24 in the non-ER section.

  1. [...] My friend Scott posted on the tower approved for Missionary Ridge and I saw a few opinion letters in the Chattanoogan, but until this issue was approved I never knew that mobile phone calls were frequently cut off on the Ridge Cut. I guess I assumed that Chattanooga had good phone coverage overall. [...]
