The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety published crash test results for small cars and minivans today. The report is available in a PDF format with photos, or a text only version. Topping the list of minivans is the redesigned for 2006 Kia Sedona. While we would prefer to buy used, we have considered the Kia after Car & Driver called it “the best product the company has sent to America, a van that’s dynamically and feature-for-feature competitive with any other.”
The top four tested are:
- Kia Sedona (Gold Top Safety Pick)
- Honda Odyssey (“Marginal” for whiplash protection)
- Toyota Sienna (“Poor” for whiplash protection)
- Nissan Quest (“Poor” for whiplash protection)
Complete results for the minivan category can be found here.

We are patiently waiting for cute kids Easter pictures.
I didn’t take any Easter photos. Isabel was wearing this cute white dress and somehow got curdled chocolate milk spilled all over it. I do, however, have some Palm Sunday photos to post soon…
