I saw my first Eastern Bluebird of the season yesterday. It was not at any of our three feeders hanging off of the deck (the ones that have been getting a lot of attention lately by both songbirds and squirrels). Rather, it was perched on tree limb on the side of our yard–not far from the two bluebird boxes that I hung a couple weeks ago. Hopefully, this means that the boxes will soon have tenants and we will get some closer glimspes of these gorgeous creatures. We made the houses last summer at church during VBS. I assembled them both, but can you guess which one is mine and which one was painted by Pamela?

I would have thought Pam would be more creative with hers, but Scott I really like what you did with the polka-dots.

I thought I was being funny, but judging from the silence on this comment, apparently my foot is in my mouth. Please pass the salt.

No, it was funny…I’ve just been busy picking out fresh new patterns for my spring warddrobe.
I thought it was funny, Batch.
