In spite of being tired from my morning ordeal, I was energized when it came time to take the kids trick or treating. Their costumes were cute and coordinated. Aidan was dressed as a firefighter. Isabel was his trusty dalmatian. Aunt Karen made decorations to transform their wagon into a fire truck.
The three of us made our way through a couple streets in our subdivision, while Pamela stayed home and passed out candy. I was quite impressed by how well Isabel did. She was right up there with the other kids, holding her bag out and muttering something resembling “trick or treat.” She is quite the go-getter and extrovert. This was also Aidan’s best time out. He kept asking me if we were going home, not because he was tired, but because he did not want to stop.
Afterwards we finished up the trick or treating by heading up to Aunt K. and Uncle Bert’s house. The kids were worn out when we left–and so were Pamela and I–but not too tired to sort through the booty. Amazingly, Isabel seemed to have collected the most candy!

How adorable!! Wish we could have been with you to share in their special day. The wagon fire truck looks great! Aidan looks like a real fireman and Isabel a happy little dalmatian.
