We just sat down to watch the Iowa vs. Perdue Purdue game. I can support my wife and root for the Hawkeyes this year, even if she dressed Aidan in Ohio State colors today (IU and PSU do not play each other this year). Speaking of, how about those Nittanys? It took last week’s trouncing of Minnesota to earn the blue and white some respect, though I do not blame the naysayers. The week before Penn State went 4-0 with a “close win against a bad to mediocre Northwestern team.” However, after seeing the Wildcats pull an upset on the #14 Badgers today, that win on the road looks even better for PSU. Hopefully, I will still have something to cheer about later tonight after the Buckeye’s visit Happy Valley. Game time is at 7:45 PM on ESPN.

Did you mean to spell Purdue that way? I’m curious because I typically spell UNC’s archrival as Dook.
Yeah, that would be the Hawks vs. the Chickens…
Let’s see…Northwestern went to the Rose Bowl in ‘96..When was the last time that Penn State went? Hmmmmmm????
I know, they’re not as bad of a team as everyone says they are. Most of the Big Ten teams–Indiana and Illinois excepting–could give the Top 25 a run for their money.
The last time was 1995, by the way, when they went undefeated but lost the national title to Tom Osborne’s Cornhuskers…because they couldn’t play them. Ever since then they’ve “split” the national title. I so wish the Lions hadn’t been locked into the Rose Bowl that year.
I’ll be rooting for Notre Dame this coming weekend, so that Penn State can have a better chance of making it to Pasadena this year.
Yeah that was the ‘95 season I am talking about but the Rose Bowl was 1/1/96. Go Braindogs!!!
