At the Carnival

Last night we took the kids to Lookout Mountain School’s fall carnival. The connection for Aidan and Isabel is that their Aunt Karen teaches Kindergarten at the school. We walked around and played games at the various booths. Aidan had his hair spray painted green. Then we ate some barbecue and pizza for dinner, following with cotton candy and ice cream for dessert.

The color is a little wonky in the photos, since I had forgotten to change the settings on my camera for outdoor lighting (click on each to enlarge).

I was pretty tired by the time it was wrapping up, but seeing Aidan have so much fun was worth it. Another great outcome of the event was the FaithWorks pottery vase that Pamela picked up for seven dollars at the second hand booth. The salt glazed vessel by Jeff Rogers probably sold for around $80 originally. What a steal!

    won·ky adj. Chiefly British, won·ki·er, won·ki·est

    1. Shaky; feeble.
    2. Wrong; awry.

The photos were wonky, as in the color was all wrong.

We use the word wonky all the time at my work, considering I work at a help desk and we get a lot of calls about all kinds wonkiness.

    Why GREEN hair?

Not sure…that’s what he wanted it painted. I personally would have gone for the blue hair…gotta love the Japanese anime blue hair look.
